Computer Aided Dispatch
Disaster tolerant, command and control solution to manage emergency calls more efficiently.
Communications center personnel demand reliable systems to manage the resources and information pertaining to a citizen’s call for help. Featuring high reliability and flexibility, Tiburon’s Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) system supports dispatching and incident control for law enforcement in single and multiple jurisdiction environments.
Tiburon offers a choice in computer aided dispatch solutions to meet the needs of a varied client base:
Tiburon CommandCAD operates as a fully distributed system on Intel-based processors using Microsoft Windows®.
At the core of the Tiburon CommandCAD system is a unique method of inter-process communications that provides fully distributed, workstation-based processing of all critical dispatch functions operating under Microsoft Windows®. Tiburon CommandCAD effectively places a complete desktop CAD system in front of every user and provides automatic, efficient synchronization of each workstation. If any component fails, Tiburon CommandCAD continues to function. Each workstation is synchronized in real time with one or more CAD file servers and with all other workstations.
This distributed design ensures optimum availability even during catastrophic component failure. Additionally, the distributed nature of Tiburon CommandCAD can be used to support remote dispatch locations to form a CAD wide area network. The geographically distributed system can share calls and resources dynamically with the same high availability as a system composed solely of local devices.
Tiburon CommandCAD raises the standard for public safety command and control solutions everywhere.
Tiburon CAD/2000 operates on a Unix-based server supporting Microsoft Windows® clients. Extremely reliable and scalable Unix servers combined with Tiburon CAD/2000 software provide a proven solution to support critical public safety dispatch operations.
